BROOKE and STEVE GIANNETTI
Design a life you love.
Hello! We’re Brooke & Steve Giannetti and we’re so glad you’re here. After thirty years of designing homes together, we’ve become passionate about helping you live your dreams where it matters most... at home.
We are both designers, dreamers, creators and lovers of nature and animals. We strive to create a life connected with nature, history, and community.
We hope you will join us on our journey!
WOULD YOU LOVE TO
Enjoy a peaceful home centered around the beauty of
the natural world?
Slow down and experience everyday moments more fully?
Live your dreams and love
If you answered yes to any of these, then we think you’ll feel welcome here.
We’re so glad you found us and we look forward to connecting with you.
Over the years, we’ve identified the following three core tenets that drive us in everything we do.
Community: A house becomes a home from the stories and dreams of the people inside. We believe in connection and the power that comes from a comfortable place to gather.
Nature: This tree with roots signifies this central tenet of ours — the natural world that we truly could not live without. The synergy between our lives and the cycles of nature inspires us each day.
History: You’ll always find an antique Swedish clock like this in my home because I love how it represents the past while helping us keep time in the present. Objects that tie us to our life stories are central to what Steve and I do.
We believe that to truly create a space you love, these three tenets will be woven throughout in a way that tells your story. And we hope they help you understand our philosophy in design and in life.
Use this page as your guide through the ways we hope to help you love your home.
Thank you for joining us!

VELVET AND LINEN BLOG
The blog is a space where we love to connect with you over stories, dreams, and creativity. We hope that as we share our journey, you’ll be inspired to live your own life with a deeper connection to your community, nature, and history.
The Velvet and Linen Blog started in 2008 to document the designs we did together, but it became popular when we began sharing the story of what is now Patina Farm.
After ten years at Patina Farm, we were ready for a bigger change — in a smaller town. We’re now building and living our new dream at Patina Meadow, outside of the lovely Leiper’s Fork, Tennessee.
After years of successful blogging, we wanted to offer tangible books that you could hold in your hands. Our stories come to life as you feel the quality paper beneath your fingers and get lost in the beautiful imagery.
When Brooke needed items she could wear both in the farmyard gathering eggs and in the city for client meetings, we turned to our oldest son, Charlie. With his passion for clothing and textiles, he found the best fabrics available and became the designer and manufacturer of the Giannetti Apparel line.
Our garments are responsibly made here in the United States by workers who are treated well. Charlie’s LA factory sources everything and we couldn’t be more proud of the honorable work he’s doing for our family-run business.
As you read about our designs on the blog, or scroll through images of Patina Farm and Patina Meadow on Instagram, you may see elements of our designs that are for sale in our online store.
Over the years, we’ve enjoyed selling the items we love most because it meant we could share them with you. Bring Patina Style into your own home by shopping the décor section of our online store.
PATINA HOME AND GARDEN
We recently moved to the charming town of Leipers Fork, Tennessee where we’re working on our new 100-acre farmstead, Patina Meadow. Leipers Fork is now home to our brick-and-mortar store, Patina Home and Garden.
Housed in the town’s old general store, we wanted to create a physical gathering space to welcome you into our community and continue learning and dreaming... together. We hope to see you in person one day, but in the meantime, you can follow along with us at Patina Home And Garden on Instagram.
